Hello, and welcome! My name is Leah, and I am thrilled to have you here.

I hail from the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, and have over 10 years experience working as a makeup artist in New York City. After starting a family and settling in the Hudson Valley, I felt called to pursue my dream of creating a clothing line in a way that would align with my values of sustainability and community care, as well as honor my family and this beautiful place we call home.

Northern Bourne blends city sophistication with mountain rustic. We find inspiration in both the classic comfort of the Adirondacks and the classic chic of Brooklyn.

We are passionate about ethical fashion. This means making a commitment to creating products in a way that both minimizes harm to the environment, and benefits our local economy. Our materials are sourced from a factory right in Brooklyn that uses high-quality yarns, ensuring items that can be worn for years to come.

Our mission is not only to provide you with high-quality, sustainable clothing, but also to support our local foster care community. My husband, Andy, and I are parents to three beautiful children, two of whom we adopted out of foster care. We are passionate about seeing families restored, and we believe in using our business as a force for good. We are pleased to share that 10% of every transaction will go toward supporting children and families in need, through the local ministry Foster Blessings. Your purchase will help a child placed in foster care or support for a biological parent seeking restoration.
